I have always been a huge Kurosawa fan, and the fluttering banners of Ran and The Seven Samurai and all the rest always captivated me. I played an awful lot of the board game Shogun (now called Samurai Swords) and when I first saw the Perry miniatures, I knew I had to get a few!

This is a unit of spear-wielding ashigaru. I went with a nice deep red color, and gave them a banner carrier as well. I did not put any symbols on their back banners or on the main banner, and did not grass them yet, as I am not sure how I want to do it!
Next up; my sole painted Samurai!
Figures by the Perrys.

Very nice looking figures. I like the look that the dip gave them.
