Howdy all!
Well, I purchased most of what I need for the moderns. One pack of 20 US soldiers (I may get another), two packs of insurgents (maybe I didn't need that many, but whatever) and some jersey barricades from Rebel minis.
I also got some Flames of War palm trees from Amazon (much cheaper!)
And finally a bunch of buildings from Gamecraft minis! You can see the breakdown at the top... a lot of one story buildings with a few two stories as well... I didn't want to get too many really huge buildings. I also got some stairs and interior walls; I plan to do interiors on all of the buildings, but VERY simple interiors... some rugs on the floors, and then some colored blocks of balsa to represent cover (tables, chairs, desks, etc) Very simple stuff but enough for gaming.
Anyway... should be fun!
I think I also made another decision... I am selling a collection of my old 15mm ACW figures. I'll put up more info soon... it will be roughly 14 units... 8 US and 6 CSA... all in one go. I think the whole thing is pictured above. The thing is... the idea of selling figures does break my heart a bit!

What are you using for the cornfields in your ACW game picture? I like the look of them from what I can see. Did you make them or buy them?
Hey man!
Not made... Bought from Battlefield Terrain Concepts. They are a bit pricey... I basically buy one set each year at Fall In and gradually build ip.
However, you can also make them. They are made of clipped bits of Christmas wreath. Just clip, drill holes in bases, and slip them through. A little flock, and voila!
Ah ha! Are they painted at all or just left as is?
Hey!
I believe they have a bit of yellow drybrushed on the ends, but I am not sure... I'd have to give it a closer look. Sorry!
I finally received all my gamecraft old west stuff, I am so impressed with the quality for the price. I will certainly eventually take the plunge on probably most of the rest of his range. Looking forward to seeing how your stuff looks on the table. Thanks!!
Help!
I accidently lost my copy of 'Brigades & Bearskins' !!!!
Could you let me know where I can find them again please?
Thanks.
Steve
Hey man!
I'm so happy you could put them to some use! Honestly I've been kicking around thoughts about touching it up... simplifying skirmishing (I have already done that) and a few other bits... but here is the link for v2.

Hey Steve!
Hm, strange, no idea why! I'll put it back up or just email it to you:)
Gun, thanks for dropping by! I check your blog every time there is an update. You are a painting madman:) No prob on the ACW thing... it is a pretty cool venture, no?
Thanks Ash! I'd appreciate that.
Steve
Yeah ash, it's great I'm going to be spending way to much money on that site. First up is the mega mega box with 1000 figures, at about 50 cent a figure thats not bad at all. Plastic 28mm cost up to 50 pence a figre, thats twice the price of these PAINTED figures.
